I write about life and horses and all the ways they connect. I live in Vermont, which I will argue without hesitation is the best place on earth.

I’m Amanda, an historian & museum employee. I read, sew, ride, bake, work on my house, and basically never sit still.

Tristan is a BLM mustang from the Callaghan Horse Management Area in Nevada. He came into my life when I started volunteering at his rescue, and then he came home with me. I started him under saddle at age ten, and we’ve done a little bit of everything together.

Arya is a boxer-hound-labrador mix who is either trying to be everywhere at once at top speed or snoring in a comfy corner.

Together, we do our best.
